Don’t let those crazy prices floating around bring you out of the holiday spirit! Check out the DIY’s Christmas decorations that you can easily do at home, on a budget and would add a new feel to the festive holidays.

Popsicle Sticks Snowflakes

We’ve all had enough ice cream during the hot summer time and now it’s time to reuse those popsicle sticks and decorate your room with some cutting edge snowflakes.

What you will need:

  • Pop sicle sticks
  • Hot glue gun
  • Spray paint (whatever color you fancy)
  • News papers

Directions:

First off, spread an old newspaper as we don’t want to get the floors messy, then gather some old popsicle sticks (after you’ve washed them of course) and start assembling them in the shape of a snowflake. Using the hot glue gun, start gluing each tip on top of the other. After you’ve let the glue harden, spray paint the design with whichever color you choose, depending on the color of the walls.

Snowman Light Bulbs

Rather than throwing away the light bulb after it passed its due date. You can create your very own Christmas tree ornaments! It’s a fun and creative project for all ages.

What you need:

  • Old Light Bulbs
  • Sting
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Paint
  • Markers

Directions:

Get an old light bulb and start off by adding a bit of glue from the glue gun on the screw. While the glue is still hot add a piece of string and tie so that the light bulb will be hanging off it. After the glue cools off, get out some paint and go all out. You can paint it all while adding some designs to make a snowman. Or you can paint it all red, green or white following the Christmas theme and cover your Christmas tree.

What you need:

  • Black and Orange Paper
  • Gift Wrapping Paper
  • Blue Tac
  • Scissors

Then cut an orange triangle and stick it to its side to resemble a nose. Using some Christmas wrapping paper, cut up a long and short strip depending on the width of your fridge. Stick them on the fridge to look like a scarf. Tadaa! Your very own snowman. You can use this same method on doors and walls as well.
