Remember when everyone was wearing Uggs? Never mind the fact that it actually keeps you warm in the depth of winter, it still looked ugly. Thank god that trend died out a bit. With every new year, comes new fashion trends. Even though you’re supposed to keep up with the fashion trends as society puts it.
Still, some people still decide to be rebels and keep up with the fashion trends from years past. However, as the fashion cycle gets renewed every few years, some trendy pieces will no doubt be in fashion again. Why? God knows. But it’s a cycle that can’t be prevented unless the fashion industry and the media put them to rest once and for all. Here are some fashion trends that were a thing in the past, and shouldn’t have a future.
Bright Colored Leggings
Skin tight leggings should be basic, neon colored leggings in the midst of winter are a big no no. And please note, leggings are not pants!
The Sneaker Wedges
You’re either wearing comfortable sports shoes or painful high-heels. Combing both just seems weird, Are you working out or walking the run way?
Overly Distressed Jeans
Hipster fashion taken to a whole other level. Yes it looked cool at first, but the more the cuts the tackier it looks.
To protect your eyes against the harmful sun and to keep you looking cool or chick depending on the frame of your choice. But wearing a portable mirror where the person you’re talking to can see themselves isn’t that eye catching.
The age of fitness is hitting the world by storm. Other than the fact that sportswear is a fashion trend on its own. Wearing a fitness tracker isn’t really going to make you a healthier person just by counting how many steps you took in a day. Just eat your five a day, join a fitness center and you’re good to go.
The Longchamp Le Pilage Bag
The bag that’s in the very of every girl’s wardrobe. It used to be popping back in the day, it was basic and matched with every outfit. But let’s be real here, it’s boring, odd shaped and not really of good quality. These may be some of the reasons why its trend died out.
It was once a trend to actually sit down, paint your nails, and add gem stones, glitter and cartoon characters. As if painting your nails one coat wasn’t enough.
Rose Gold Anything
A misconception of colors created by someone who can’t decide whether to wear gold or pink.
You can’t wear a ball gown down in the streets on a Saturday morning right? Same deal with sportswear, it should only be seen in a gym where you’re sweating off on a treadmill. Wearing sweatpants to work doesn’t give off a professional look.
Fast Food Fashion
Just so your outside would look like your insides. Wearing a t-shirt that’s cover in fries does say a lot about you. Just don’t go to the gym wearing that.
As if wearing a fur coat isn’t enough. Accessorizing your feet with slippers that resembles a hamster on them isn’t worth your money, even if it warms you up.
