Your Guide To The Coolest Ramadan Events Happening This Weekend

We all love gathering with friends and family over Iftaar and Suhoor in Ramadan. But the majority of us are so sick and tired of the same old cafe gatherings and restaurants, and with our work life, busy schedules and very short Ramadan days, it has become quite hard to go out, or even look for different places where we can enjoy Iftaar or Suhoor in an unusual way. But that’s what weekends are for! You take your time in looking for the perfect spot here in Cairo to gather with your dear ones over some delicious food and warm vibes.

4 unusual Ramadan events have caught our eyes that we know are taking place this weekend, and we think are going to be both different and cool.

1) Dina El Wedidi at the Cairo Opera House

Enjoy two hours of oriental music by the amazing Dina El Wedidi this Thursday at the open air theater at the Cairo Opera House.

Dina El Wedidi’s concert is among a series of Ramadan Nights concerts that the Cairo Opera House hosts every weekend.

Mawlana 2017 at The Greek Campus

An unusual Ramadan event hosted by Unusual Egypt this Friday 9th of June, at the Greek Campus in Downtown. If you are a fan of Sufi music then you will surely enjoy this event.

You will be having Suhoor while enjoying a concert for the Sufi singer Amer El Touny and El Nafikha Band, accompanied by a twirling tanoura show.

Waslet Kheir is a charitable sponsor to this event. Part of the proceeds from the tickets will be donated to the organization to help in surgeries for little kids.

3) Cairokee at Westown Hub

Westown Hub is hosting a number of awesome bands and artists every weekend this Ramadan with a ‘Khan El Khalili’ theme and a variety of restaurants that you can eat from. This weekend, it is Cairokee that will be taking over their stage with their exclusive music and songs.

You can even get your children too, as you will be able to leave them at the kids area while you go and enjoy your night.

Omar Khairat at the Mena House Hotel

What is better than having your Suhoor while listening to the tunes of the brilliant Omar Khairat? This is what you will be doing at the Ahl Masr Foundation Second Annual Suhoor this Friday at the Mena House Hotel.

Ahl Masr is creating this event for the second year where all the proceeds from the tickets will be going to Ahl Masr Non-Profit Burn Hospital.

So much happening this weekend, so little time!
