Ouija: Origin of Evil, A Hidden Gem

Meet the movie that would give any horror fanatic goosebumps!

Ouija: Origin of Evil
Creepy girl is creepy..

Good horror movies are hard to come by these days! Especially when you’ve watched them all in all. The new movies just lack creativity, plot, and good acting. However, Ouija: Origin of Evil is a whole other story. It may be one of the best modern day horror movies to date. If you haven’t watched the first movie Ouija (2014), it doesn’t really matter as the story lines don’t crossover.

This movie, set in 1975 Los Angeles, will make you want to create a time machine, go back in time and live in that era. The environment, scenery, and wardrobe were all on point. The movie doesn’t have all those cheesy jump scare moments; instead, it’s very subtle, and you never know when it’s going to hit! The movie was slow paced in a way, which gave the movie justice.

But what made the movie spectacular was the brilliant acting of that little girl (Lulu Wilson), with her perfect innocent face and blue eyes; it will send chills down your spine whenever she speaks. If you want to get the feel of how creepy she is, then just think of the little boy from The Omen (2006).

She is probably one of the best children to act in a horror movie that you’ll ever see. Not that the other actors were bad or anything, but she shined (like a diamond). Even if the plot was slow, she made the movie feel more rejuvenated. Furthermore, the cinematography was amazing, taking you back to the subtle and sleek camera moves of the 70’s. Ahh, the nostalgia!

So if you feel like watching a horror movie that’ll give you nightmares, Ouija: Origin of Evil is a sound investment.
